Rx

MFA design project Rx - a medically inspired collection, based on the organic/inorganic concept of pills and how these synthetic objects affect the natural processes of our bodies. I was led in this direction by my love of geometric shapes. Though we think of these shapes in their mathematical perfection as being man-made, the truth is that geometry and symmetry form the basis of our intrinsic concept of beauty.

I had the good fortune of falling ill while working on this collection and getting prescribed antibiotics, providing further inspiration via hands-on interaction with some pills.
